Open Question: Can I do two separate courses in college right after eachother?

One of the courses I'm interested in is duratin 1 year and the other is 2 years. Its Ballyfermot, the course titles are PMC: Music Management And Production and PRH: Higher National Diploma in Contemporary Music Performance (Rock School) Sorry if this sounds stupid. I don't know anything about courses and every of that nice of thing. But would I be able to do both, I mean, is it weird to do two? It seems weird to me 'cause you never really hear of people doing that...Its the fact they're not long, and I'm really interested in doing something in the music industry as my job, so I feel like both of those courses would give me alot of knowledge and experience as to what part of it I'd like to work in...But is it stupid/weird? Ballyfermot is the name of a college in Dublin by the way

Open Question: Would it be hard to get a well-payed job in Graphic Design after schooling?

I want to pursue Graphic Design but honestly, with the economy the way it is I'm worried about finding a job. Heard so many stories about kids going to college for years and not able to find a job or one that they trained for at least. So I am wondering. How has the economy effected the graphic design industry? Would it be very difficult to find a good job after I'm finished with school?

Open Question: Do you need science and math to work in video games?

Ok i'm in 9th grade right now and I want to work in the video game industry when i'll be older. I don't know exactly in what job, but probably in something like designer or game journalist. Apparently you need math and science to do that nice of job(designer). I have grades of about 80% in math and science right now. And my parents keep telling me that I need more then that to be able to receive a job later on. But I don't think I really need to receive like 95% in math and science to do game design, and that with my 80 average i'd be okay. I know that you need computer programming skill and every but i'm just talking about science and math, the things you learn when you're in 9th grade pretty much. Am I wrong?

I know it's hurting, but how bad? every jobs are hurting now, but is this on going to ever bounce back or are indie labels taking away the big business from major names? Open Question: Why cant the USA emulate the greatness that was the Soviet Union?

I''m talking about the leadership of Lenin and Stalin. Stalin was the last great leader. It went downhill after Khrushchev took power. And it was the reformist position that subsequent leaders took that eventually contributed to its collapse. But when Stalin was leader, the USSR became a major industrial power. It went from a previously rural and backwards country to one of the strongest and most powerful nations in the world. GNP more than doubled in the 1930s while the relax of the industrialized world was effected by the Great Depression. While the 5 year plans may not have reached production targets on everything, in some industries production soared way over the target. Why cant the USA emulate the leadership of Stalin and bring manufacturing jobs back in the USA and surpass China and India? Doesn't the USA want to become a great economic power again?

Open Question: When are people gonna stop using the retarded ratings argument as a valid point in WWE being better than TNA?

WWE gets by in name along. That is it Ratings in this particular war mean jack sh*t because a relatively new company is going up against a promotion that has a richer history than any other promotion in its industry It would be like your local pizza store going up against Dominos. Of course Dominos is gonna whip your pizza shops a$s If you think TNA sucks, thats fine, but have valid arguments as to why it sucks and don't use the ratings, which you shouldn't worry about anyways because you don't work in the TV industry, as to why it sucks *****WWE gets by IN NAME alone

Open Question: For those who believe that Health Care Reform is just another ploy for the government to control our lives...?

....How do you feel about the FDA? Do you think the FDA is another example of gov't inferring with our lives? Or should we let food and drugs go unregulated? I don't know about you, but I nice of like knowing that food and drugs are held to a certain standard and that they have to divulge what is in their products. How about the SEC? How about FDIC? How about the EPA? My point is that I don't want gov't controlling and interfering in my life any more than you do and I fully understand the bureaucracy, corruption and ineptitude that gov't many times demonstrate. However, with that being said, I much rather have gov't looking out for me than leaving it up to multi-billion dollar, profit driven companies to self-regulate themselves. I don't think they necessarily have my best interest at heart, you know what I mean? I consider Health Care reform as a necessary step to regulate insurance companies from raising premiums- just because they can, denying claims- just because they can, denying coverage- just because they can. I think gov't regulating health care is just as essential as gov't regulating Wall St., the Food and Drug industry, credit card co., etc. Why would health care be different? Is it different? I would like to hear your thoughts, please respond.

Open Question: Your Honest Answer Please :]?

Hey it's Bea and I got a question. I have been told by hairdressers, makeup sells ladies, my ex-dentist and family that I was really pretty and should think about doing modeling. I would totally like that a lot! I know it's not as easy as it looks and it can be a rough industry. But, then again other people just say I'm very pretty but I don't have the "Model Look"? I know to be a model you have to have confidence in yourself and hold your head up high and be good at taking criticism. So, in your honest opinions, do you think I could model or not? My mom likes this picture alot http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss117/BeaKiwi92/Beaz.jpg I like these pictures for some reason http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss117/BeaKiwi92/bea21.jpg No editing in this one and don't look at my eyebrows because I know they look scary and jacked up because I thought I knew what I was doing.....guess I didn't really :[ http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss117/BeaKiwi92/bea1.jpg

So I've had a serious interest in filmmaking for a long time and I always looked at the Los Angeles Film School. Open Question: How risky is it to have the pipes that lead from an oil tank to the oil burner run under the ground?

I bought a home over a year ago and we use oil heat. The lines that run from the tank to the burner run below the basement floor, which is cement. Recently, the company that we purchase our oil from and also maintains our equipment strongly suggested that we replace the underground lines with over ground ones. They mentioned that it is a high risk to have the underground lines in case of leakage. I know to have this done would cost a good deal of money, and I'm just wondering if the risk is as significant as they are saying, or if this is more of a sales ploy than anything else. I've worked in the sales industry, and I can't help but think this could be the case. Anyone with any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!!

Open Question: Should I go to university?

I am interested in joining the film industry and go into the camera side of things, and in a perfect world for me some day i would be working as Director of Photography, however from what i understand the easiest and best way to break into the industry is to start as a runner, and learn things as you move up the ranks. I was wondering if it was worth going to university and learning every the film making techniques, If A) Im going to start at the bottom anyway and B) I would be able to learn most things as i progress through my career without having to spend big tuition fees. I understand that the privilege to work on student films would be a massive advantage in experience, but is it still worth it, if i could just start with some work experiences and unpaid internships to receive the ball rolling?

Open Question: Does the pro-death crowd also believe the FDIC is a government takeover?

If Health Care is a government takeover, then so is the FDIC. How many banks went below last year? Hundreds! How many Americans lost their bank savings: zero. Thank you, Federal Government, your REGULATION of the private banking industry saved Americans their bank savings. Now if you receive Health Care Reform done, your regulation of the PRIVATE HEALTH CARE system will help keep lives; many, many lives. I'm not talking about universal coverage, I'm not talking about the public option, I'm talking about the mere regulation that Republicans are refusing to even allow a vote on.

Open Question: I have a question about tax implications for rental travel website.?

We are developing a website that helps Travelers rent condos and timeshares from Owners. These rentals are located in Mexico and the Owners are primarily from the United States. Travelers are potentially from any part of the world. Our business headquarters is in California. Our company does not possess any of the inventory (the condos and timeshares listed on the website). When the Traveler decides to rent, he/she will pay (via Paypal) our company. Afterwards, our website will immediately pay out to the Owner the amount that the Traveler paid less a commission that we charge. This commission is similar to the “Seller’s Fee” that eBay.com charges to their sellers. The commissions will be roughly 10 to 12% of the sale amount and will be charged to the Owner of the rental. Our question: What tax liabilities will our company and website be subject to with this business model? We do not possess the inventory; our hq is in CA; and we do business in Mexico. Would we be subject to the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) or any other industry-specific taxes?

I am learning how to anodize aluminum, and i need help trying figure out how much more water i need to add to my sulphuric acid. here is the quote from the site "Mix up a solution of sulfuric acid in a plastic container. The mixture should be between 15%-20% sulfuric acid to water ratio for standard type II anodizing. If you are using battery acid, it is already 35% sulfuric acid and 65% water by Volume, so if you mix 50% battery acid to water (equal amounts); that should put the ratio a little below 20% by weight. If you mix slightly more water than acid, it would be closer to the industry standard of 15% for type II anodizing." the acid i bought it already mixed 35%acid - 65%h20 and it came in a 32oz bottle and lets say im going to use either a 2gal or a 5 gal pail. and if i have to buy another 32oz bottle i will.
